Raymond Trigg Gives Advice to Those New to The Peloton Community

raymond trigg

Are you new to the world of Peloton? Well, I am sure you have many questions, and I am here to answer them. My name is Raymond Trigg, and I have answers for those new to the Peloton community. First off, I bet there are a lot of you wondering if everyone in your family needs to have a Peloton membership. To answer that, if you are using the treadmill or bike, your subscription covers an unlimited number of users in the household. However, if you are a Peloton digital user, you each will need to sign up for the app.

Where should you put your bike? Well, my advice would be to put your Peloton where you can see it so you are motivated to use it. If you have a small room, you can fold it down and hide it under the bed, or you can set it up on its side in the corner of a room. It is up to you based on the size house or room you are working with, but my overall advice would be to keep it out where you can see it. It will constantly be a reminder to use it.

How does one adjust the bike to fit their comfort level? To answer this, log in to your Peloton account and tap on the three-bar settings icon on the bottom right-hand side of your home screen. Select “Peloton 101” and press the play button. Also, you can visit this link to watch a video if you like to see how to do it visually.

Which class do you recommend starting first? You may want to start with a beginner class, which will help you get accustomed to the proper form and technique. Once you have got that down, many of our members recommend trying our All for One class for cycling, running, strength and yoga. But if you are already fit and have been exercising and have the stamina to get moving, it is up to you.

What is the difference between live, encore, and on-demand classes? Live classes are streamed live from our studios and taken live with other Members. Encore classes are previously recorded classes streamed as if they were live, with a fresh live Leaderboard. On-demand classes are previously recorded classes available to take at any time.

What advice do you give for caring for your bike or treadmill? Keep your bike or tread clean, and while you are at it, make sure you regularly tighten the bolts, wipe down the surfaces, and check for any wear and tear.

Remember not to overdo your workouts. Get into a daily consistent workout routine that fits your body type and level you can handle. My advice would be to give yourself one day of rest to let your muscles relax. The first time using your Peloton, you might notice your bottom hurts; some discomfort in your seat is normal and will go away within a few weeks. Finally, after you complete your 100th ride in any discipline on the Peloton platform, the Peloton community wants to recognize you for your hard work. To get your Century Club shirt, visit the link here and follow the instructions. Have a happy and safe workout!
